Pitch Deck Structuring

Your 10-Slide Pitch Deck Cheat Sheet

Investors are busy. Get to the point and tell a great story!

1. Problem:

  • What painful problem are you solving? Make it relatable.

2. Solution:

  • How does your product/service elegantly solve that problem? (Show, don’t just tell!).

3. Market Opportunity:

  • How big is the market for your solution (TAM/SAM/SOM)? Show it’s huge!

4. Product:

  • Visuals, screenshots, or a quick demo. Focus on key features.

5. Business Model:

  • How do you make money? (Subscription, freemium, transaction fee). Clear and concise.

6. Traction:

  • What have you achieved so far? (Users, revenue, partnerships, growth rates). This is your proof!

7. Team:

  • Why are you the right people? Highlight relevant experience, passion, complementary skills.

8. Competition / Competitive Advantage:

  • Who are your rivals? What makes you unique and defensible (e.g., IP, network effects, unfair advantage).
  • Don’t say “no competition.”

9. Financials:

  • Realistic 3-5 year projections (revenue, expenses, profitability). Explain assumptions.

10. Ask:

  • How much money are you raising? What will you use it for? What milestones will this achieve?
  • Golden Rule: The pitch deck is a movie trailer, not the full movie. It’s designed to get the next meeting, not the check. Focus on clarity, visuals, and a compelling narrative.
